About the Journal

The Revista de Historia de la Lengua Española is a scientific journal of the Asociación de Historia de la Lengua Española.

It is open to researchers from all over the world, covering all fields of historical linguistics and the history of Spanish. It publishes original and unpublished works that represent a significant advance in its field of study, as well as book reviews and information of interest to members. The Editorial Board, in accordance with the confidential reports of external evaluators, decides on the publication of the articles received, which must always be original and unpublished. The language of the RHLE is Spanish. Articles in other languages will be accepted with the approval of the Editorial Board.

The basic characteristics of the electronic edition of the RHLE are:

  • Free, immediate and unrestricted access to the full text (it fulfils the DOAJ definition of open access)
